A pulp valve is engineered to control flow in pulp and paper manufacturing processes. It features sharp seating edges or non-clog passages to slice through dense fiber slurries and prevent material buildup.
Pulp valves are constructed with a full-bore unobstructed flow area, self-cleaning seating surfaces, and heavy-duty glands or seals that shear through paper stock and fibrous suspensions without jamming.
Due to aggressive bleaching chemicals and abrasive paper slurries, pulp valves are manufactured using high-grade materials such as SS304, SS316, Hastelloy, Cast Steel, or lined ductile iron to resist corrosion and erosion.
